Meet the Team
Following the award of £12m of Government Single Regeneration Budget(SRB) funding for the Aire Valley, a dedicated Project Team was established in 2001 to co-ordinate and deliver a wide range of regeneration projects in the area. With the end of SRB funding in 2008, delivery arrangements are focussing on building on the programme's achievements and progressing the long-term strategic vision for the area.
The team currently comprises Alan Taylor, Project Manager, and Sue Ryder, Assistant Project Officer, focusing on projects and initiatives relating to site infrastructure and development; support for exisitng businesses and inward investors; and marketing and promotional activity. The Team works closely with colleagues across the Council, other public sector agencies and with the private sector, particularly landowners/developers. Strong links have been established with partners in the Council's Jobs & Skills Service and JobcentrePlus regarding recruitment assistance for existing businesses and inward investors, and support for jobseekers.
Strategic guidance for the programme is provided by the Aire Valley Leeds Regeneration Board and sub-groups, to which the Project Team reports.
